It has come to my attention that quite a few of us on here have dayZ SA, while there are a lot of old school MOD players there is a relatively new core of players within SoV who are getting there feet dirty for the first time. If you fall into this bracket i extend my arms openly and invite you along as well as any seasoned vets for the proposition I lay before you.

Im looking to run a small team, 4-6 of people who are semi serious people wanting to have the best experience within the sim as possible,
This will include all forms of PvP, base building and gear crafting when available, hunting looting ect in group.

-clear comms
-sense of direction
-no pking on eachother

If this interests you let me know and we will include you within our operationzz

I'm interested, however I need to learn the map more before I can consider myself to have a good sense of direction.

Just ensure a SENSE of direction... you don't need to know where on the map you are, just no what our positions are and what direction we are heading at all times so that if we encounter a player or you encounter one you will be able to communicate effectively the direction, identifying features and the threat they pose to the squad!

I'm pretty good at direction. I think most of us have this from comp experience.

what are your 'rules of engagement" when it comes to other players?

I assess the treat that the player in question poses to my survival, then act in either two ways, offer a chance to lower his weapon in exchange for a truce, this means the weapon mustn't be in his/her hands. Or I leave them alone to and don't interfere.

If im staking out Belota and I see a dude kill someone else than I have no sympathy for him and so that and a few other scenarios in which concern witnessing another player act like a bandit I will generally KoS

^ Very brief, DayZ has too many varying situations to have an outright ruling

its either shoot on sight or shoot in self-defence.

essentially will we be taking the first shot or only if we feel 'threatened'.

I am wanting to Join. im also Brand New to DayZ. I will also have to wait a bit for a GFX card that can run the game at more than 10fps. (5 in built up areas) I hope the GTX 660 SC can do that.

I also have small map knowledge. most of my knowledge comes from Frankie's dayZ.

Assassin, Honestly. I dont know how much good the gpu will do. DayZ is very cpu heavy. It will help for sure, but I'm not sure how much.

it will do more than nothing. I just hope DayZ becomes more optimized in the future.
