I got one of these a few weeks ago - liking it so far, no random drop outs or problems. It is the basic upgrade to the 7800N. Only downside is no dual band, but if that isn't a problem for you, it's great.

Explain dual band please? Is it worth going for a dual band one?

Dual band wireless N means it works at 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies - the 7800NXL only works on 2.4GHz. If I remember correctly, 5GHz is shorter range, and doesn't go through walls as well as 2.4GHz, but the 2.4GHz frequency is very common so can have problems with interference (e.g. if you live in an apartment with lots of neighbour's wireless networks around you). Note your devices (computers, phones, etc) also need to support the different frequencies for there to be a benefit.

So, dual band might be of benefit to some people. It wasn't a concern for me so I was happy to save some money and get the 7800NXL, rather than the dual band 7800's which are around $200.
