So 10 percent cheaper than a gtx 780 and 10 percent faster before optimization at 1080p. Probably end up being a little faster than titan at 60 percent of the price. Gets my thumbs up, especially with mantle.

But i'm a sucker for Nvidias technologies, Physx, G-sync, shadowplay, etc. And despite AMD improving upon what ATI originally did, I've had bad personal experience with one side, and none with the other, so Nvidia I shall buy, I'd rather pay more for less bullshit. My HD 5850 was shit, and I don't like to shit where I play if you know what I mean.

Just remember that the 290x is is similar to a STOCK titan. Run an OC on a gtx780 and the 290x will come off second best, same with running an oc on a titan.

Yes, but the 290x is also running stock, I don't see your point, you can also overclock a 290x, and even if it doesn't overclock quite as well, it will still be similar, as I recall the titan does not oc well, and and oced gtx 780 starts to catch up on an oced titan.

Also, these are non reference 290x's so aftermarket fan configs should perform better again, and there is still optimization being done.

Still at 1080p it will lose, because AMD markets towards multi monitors with their typically higher ram counts.

So far all of the 290x cards have the reference cooler and card, and there is almost no room for an oc considering stock they run ~95 degrees. Meaning at the moment nvidia cards are still better so that 10% improvement for 10% less price doesn't actually exist right now.

Should be helped by non reference cooling. But the 780ti is also slated for release, and it looks like it should be a little more powerful than the titan, and costs 80 bucks USD more that the 290x.
