      Newly built pc problem....

So yesterday I built a computer for a friend and decided to turn it on. When the power button was pressed nothing happened but a single buzzing noise. There were lights on the motherboard and etc. When the pci-e power cable was unplugged from the psu everything turned on and vice versa. Did i do something wrong?

Are you saying that if the graphics card is unplugged from the power supply the computer starts up normally?

Yes. it then asks to plug the pci-e power cable into the card after plugging it in it wouldn't start up

What sort of buzzing. From experience, mostly it is something not connected to the motherboard properly, power cable etc. Could be a faulty wire that is causing it if nothing changes after doing a lot of fixes.

Well, I tried all the cables from the box that came with the psu and still nothing. I tried everything I knew, still haven't solved it yet -____-

Could be a dodgey slot, can you try plugging it into another slot?
