Verdict so far - f%^king love it!

Forget gaming, it's so much nicer just to type on! i've actually been looking forward to sitting down and using it just for the satisfying click of each key. Last 2 nights instead of working at home on my work laptop i've been jumping on my desktop to do work

The Brown switches are absolutely perfectly balanced with the satisfying dull-click sound but at the same time not being irritatingly loud. I I tested the Red's in store but no Blue's were available to try - although i wouldn't have got the blues, was keen to compare.
Red's were wayyyy to light and no click!

tbh i was a little worried i'd be irritiated by the audible click, and obviously personal preference here, but i am THOROUGHLY enjoying the sound.

It's light to the touch, and i do find that i have to be deliberate in my actions. i'm not finding that i'm accidentally triggering buttons just by resting or inadvertantly making errors during typing.... and i am confident i can go long stints for work or gaming fairly happily.

For gaming i really am feeling the difference in no more ghosting (got real bad in the G15 particularly when playing BF4), and the responsiveness in the stop-start and quick movements seems there and while that could just be a placebo effect, it makes me feel good

I've got the "LUX" version which per my understanding has bigger key displays, textured spacebar vs the original K70 . The LUX also allows lighting effects controlling via the Corsair CUE utility.
so while the keyboard is red, i'm able to have some lighting effects (ripple, wave and key press triggers) -

not that i really care about lighting effects (or i would've gone RGB) but it's amusing and gimmiky to play around..

(i haven't sat down and done the research on the differences as i only had the LUX option to choose from, but that's what i've found from my 30sec Google :|)

Anyway thought i'd bring this thread home with my final thoughts on the purchase - totally worth it and as everyone says, it is indeed personal preference

Sorry for hijacking a thread but I am looking for a new keyboard.

I am wanting to know what the build quality is like on your Corsair keyboards, since most people here seem to have one. I used to use a Steelseries 6gv2 and it felt as if I could put it through a wall and it come out the same. It lasted me 2 years before it started to stuff up a bit (probably should have cleaned it more often). Replaced it with a CMStorm TK and I spilled a drink once and it was ruined.

How easy is it to fuck up a corsair keyboard?

they are solid , ive banged mine around and spilt fluids all over it , its fine. Once you take the keys off its all flat so cleans easy.

they don't hold up to a cup of tea too well. I've bricked two with an ordinary white with two.

My old Corsair keyboard lasted a year and a half. Started stuffing up after I tested its durability with mountain dew. I still have it as a back up. I needed it recently because i again tested the durability with a few drops of water and it started shitting itself so i turned it upside down and left it for 24 hrs and it was fine.

Thanks for all the info @Pirate_Radio & @Dreamtime (Danyonn)

Even though the offer has been cancelled, they still sold me the keyboard for $150 because of all the links the two of you provided me.
